Free link shortener with a QR code
Shorten a link and get a QR code for it in one step, with scan counts, device and city analytics, and a destination you can change after printing.
Paste the long link and sign in with an email code, no password.
You get an ariaqr.com short link and a QR code with the short link inside.
Change the destination any time; every scan shows in your dashboard.
Questions
Why does this one need a sign-in?+
Because the link keeps working for a year and the destination can be edited. The account is where that lives, and where the renewal reminder goes. It is an email code, no password, no card.
How is this different from the free generator?+
It is the same engine. This page just starts from a link and gives you both the short URL and the code together.
How short is the link?+
ariaqr.com/r/ followed by six characters. Short links mean fewer modules in the code, which scans better at small sizes.
Can I use my own domain?+
Not yet. Custom domains are on the plan roadmap.

Learn the terms
- Static vs dynamic QR codeA static QR code encodes its final data directly, so it cannot change. A dynamic QR code encodes a short redirect link, so the destination can be edited and scans can be counted.
- Short linkA short link is a compact URL that redirects to a longer one. In QR codes, short links reduce the amount of data, making the code less dense, and they power dynamic codes that can be edited and counted.
- QR code versionA QR code version is the size of the symbol, numbered 1 to 40. Version 1 is 21 × 21 modules and each version adds 4 modules per side, up to 177 × 177 modules for version 40.
- Data capacityData capacity is how much a QR code can hold. The largest, version 40 at level L, stores up to 7,089 digits, 4,296 alphanumeric characters or 2,953 bytes; smaller codes and higher error correction hold less.
- Minimum print size and scan distanceA QR code’s minimum size depends on scan distance and module count. A common rule of thumb is a code width of one tenth of the scan distance, and about 2 cm (0.8 in) as a floor for short URLs.
- QR code analyticsQR code analytics are counts and details of scans, such as time, approximate location and device type. They require a dynamic code or a tracked link, because the pattern itself cannot report scans.
The next step
Make the code the artwork.
These tools make and check classic codes. AriaQR turns your photo, logo or illustration into the code itself, verified on real decoders before you download, with a link you can edit and track.
